On Friday, October 28, 2005 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Maria Dueck (nee Wall), aged 84 years, of Winkler, MB formerly of Plum Coulee and Gnadenthal, went to her eternal rest.
She leaves to mourn her passing her 7 daughters, Agatha and George Whitman of Winkler, Mary Wiebe of Morris, Nettie and Cornie Derksen of Selkirk, Betty and Nick Fehr of Rosenfeld, Ann and Cornie Fehr of Schanzenfeld, Marge and Jerrold Siemens of Morris, Tina and Garry Horsman of Roland; 4 sons Jake Dueck of Fraser Lake, BC, Pete and Lynn dueck of Morden, Cory Dueck of Prince George, BC, Isaac Dueck of Morden; 40 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jacob P. Dueck (1993); son Abe Dueck (1978) and 2 daughters in infancy.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. Jake Heide officiating. Interment followed at the Winkler Cemetery.
