years, of Village of Chortitz, went to her eternal rest.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Helen and husband John Wall of Bergfeld District; 5 sons George and wife Lil Goertzen of Winnipeg; Abe and wife Betty Goertzen of Hochfeld, John Goertzen of Blumenfeld, Jake and wife Evelyn Goertzen of Schanzenfeld, Henry Goertzen of Chortitz; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 sister in-law.
She was predeceased by husband Gerhard in 1995; daughter Maria in infancy; daughter in-law Helen (George); 4 sisters Nettie, Agatha, Sarah, and Helen, and 1 brother Abram Penner.
Funeral service was held on Thursday May 2, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitz Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Elias and Rev. Henry Rempel officiating. Interment followed at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery.
