Lydia Lowe
1912 – 2002
Lydia died quietly in her sleep on March 17, 2002 and will be missed by her family and friends.
Lydia was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Runnymede. She was active in sports and church work, playing the organ and singing in the choir. Lydia attended college in Regina and later met her future husband, William Lowe in Runnymede. They were married in Winnipeg and spent 62 years of married life, happily in Rosebank. Lydia loved to bake, garden, curl and work alongside her husband. She predeceased by her husband Bill and all of her siblings.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughter Joan Brown, her son-in-law Dr. Ross E. Brown, two grandchildren, Vicki (David), Derek (Jodi), their children, Lydia’s great grandchildren, Meagan and William, niece Gail Hartry (Jim) and nephew Wayne Duncan (Linda). While able, Lydia kept in touch with the children of her sisters and brother, most of whom live in Central and Western Canada.
The family would like to thank Agnes Weidman and the Home Care Staff at Boyne Towers, the caring and efficient staff at Boyne Lodge and those kind and gentle pastoral care volunteers who cared for Lydia.
