MB John Penner, aged 92 years of Winnipeg, formerly of Chortitz, MB was taken
home by his Saviour and Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.
He was predeceased by his wife Susan Penner in 1991.
Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather, he leaves to mourn his wife Helen; 3 daughters Susan and Lawrence Wiebe of Winnipeg; Mary and Don Doell of Winnipeg; Helen and Fern Guimond of Burlington, ON; 4 sons John and Joanna of Winnipeg; Dick and Irene of Winnipeg; Jake and Irene of Winnipeg; Harv and friend Pam of Dugald and their families.
John was also richly blessed with 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren as well as extended family members; Larry and Grace Penner and daughter-in-law Judy Penner.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. John Penner officiating. Interment followed at the Chortitz Church Cemetery.
