Jeno Gall

April 16th 1923 – June 14th, 2004

 

On Monday, June 14th, 2004 at Pembina Manitou Health Centre, Jeno Gall aged 81 years, of Morden, MB formerly of Darlingford, MB went to his eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his passing daughters Sharon McFadden (Allan) of Darlingford, Brenda Sunde (Mel) of Maple Creek Saskatchewan, Ardelle Unger (Brian) of Miami, Glenda Cox (Jim) of Port Hardy BC,  sons  Doug Gall (Diana) of Langruth, Wayne Gall (Donna) of Darlingford and Dale Gall (Emily) of Morden, special friend Justine Katerynych, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Theresa Wood (Harry) of Morden and one sister inlaw Anne Gall of Miami.

He was predeceased by his wife Ruth (nee Link) Gall (1990), one brother and four sisters.

Jeno was born in the Woodridge area before moving to the Altamont area with his parents in 1927.  In 1932 the family moved to the Opawaka district to farm.  Jeno remained on the home farm and married Ruth Link of Morden in 1949.  Jeno was well known for his welding and repair shop.  After the passing of his wife Ruth in 1990 Jeno retired from the homestead and moved to Morden in 1993.  Jeno spent his retirement years traveling the countryside with his dearest friend Justine. Justine brought Jeno new happiness over their 14 years of companionship, becoming Jeno’s dearest friend.   Jeno will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 17th, 2004 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden at 11:00 am with Rev. Morris Vincent officiating.  Interment followed at Miami Cemetery.
