2003 at the Salem Home, Winkler, Jacob H. Thiessen, age 92, of Winkler, passed
peacefully in his sleep.

peacefully in his sleep.
He married Helen Toews in 1937. Jacob farmed in the Lowe Farm area all his life. In 1965, Jacob & Helen moved to Lowe Farm, and in 1978 they retired from farming. On July 30, 1980 Helen passed away. In October of 1981 Jacob married Tina, and in 1997 they left Lowe Farm and moved to Winkler. After spending his final 5 months in Salem Home, he went to his eternal rest.
He leaves behind his wife Tina, 2 sons Dan & wife Helen of Lowe Farm, and their family Monica, Rhonda & husband Craig Shewchuk, Stefan; Grant & wife Jan of Winnipeg, and their family Christina, Ryan & wife Sharon, great grandson Callum; step son Ron & wife Susan Wiens of Morden, and their family Kim & husband Andy Friesen, great grandchildren Matthew and Travis.
Funeral service was held on Monday, March 3, 2003, 2:00pm at the Kronsweide Sommerfeld Church, Rev. Dick Penner officiating. Interment followed at the Kronsweide Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salem Foundation Inc.
