On Sunday May 26, 2002 at
the Salem Home, Herman Neufeld, age 90, of Winkler, went to his eternal rest.
He was preceded by his wife Maria Neufeld (nee Unger) in 1997; 1 son in infancy; 1 son-in-law Ben Goertzen; 6 grandchildren in infancy.
He leaves to mourn his 4 daughters Agatha Goertzen of Welland, ON; Maria and Jake Harder of Winkler; Anna and Abe Peters of Winnipeg; Kathy and Cornie Froese of Winkler; 7 sons Peter and Maria of Belize; William and Elizabeth of Schanzenfeld; Herman and Helena of Arborfield, SK; Henry and Susan of Winkler; John and Neta of Winnipeg; David and Betty of Morden; Jake and Martha of Roland; 46 grandchildren and 83 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held on Thursday May 30, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitz Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Elias officiating. Interment followed at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery.
