Henry P. Wiebe
1910 - 2002
Henry P. Wiebe was born to his parents, Peter & Aganetha (Neustaeter) Wiebe on the 15th of October in 1910, in Kronsthal, Manitoba. He was baptized on the confession of his faith in Christ Jesus on June 04, 1936 by Bishop Peter Toews in the Sommerfelder Church at Waldheim, Manitoba.
He was united in holy matrimony to Helena Hiebert on Nov. 28, 1937 in the Old Colony church in Chortitz by Rev. Jacob Penner. In the marriage they have shared joys and sorrows for 64 years, 2 months, 26 days. They changed their membership on Nov. 26 1967 to the Reinland Mennonite Church.
Their Marriage was blessed with six children, 3 sons and 3 daughters; Abe & Tina Wiebe of Schanzenfeld, Nettie Friesen of winkler, Ed & Helen Dyck of Roseille, Peter & Elizabeth Wiebe of Plum Coulee, Jake & Martha Elias of Morden, Henry & Trudy Wiebe of Chortitz..
They lived on a farm south of Chortitz for approximately 38 years. In 1981 they moved to Winkler where they lived together until Christmas of 2000 when Mother experienced a stroke and was brought to the Morden Hospital. Father remained alone at the Winkler home for almost one year until he was hospitalized on Dec. 04, 2001 due to a week heart and shortness of breath.
Here he remained until his date of placement at Tabor Home of Morden, on Feb. 04 2002. His prayer was that he could be together with his wife for at least a short time and this was granted to him for 2 weeks and 4 days, when he again was hospitalized on Feb. 22. A day later, on Feb 23 at 11:30 a.m. he was relieved of his suffering and peacefully entered into eternity. He reached an age of 91 years, 4 months and 8 days.
With his passing, he leaves to mourn, his beloved wife Helena , 3 sons, 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, 1 son-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
We sorrow, but not as those without hope for we believe he died peacefully in the Lord.

“ and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Funeral Service was held Wednesday Feburary 27, 2002 at 5he Reinland Mennonite Church With Bishop William Friesen and Rev. Henry Penner officiating. Interment followed at Hochfeld Cemetery.
We as a family would like to express our sincere heartfelt thanks for all the love, prayers and support shown to us and our parents. Special thanks to the pallbearers, ushers, the ministers, the songleaders, the ladies serving group, the church caretakers, grave diggers, the staff at Tabor Home, Hospital Staff, and Wiebe Funeral Homes.
