Henry Reimer

1913 – 2004

On March 14, 1913, the Lord Creator, presented Cornelius and Katherina Reimer, of the Kronsgart School District, North-east of Winkler with their third son, Henry.

Here he grew up, received his elementary education and spent his next 79 years. Helping at first, later managing and still later co-owning the family farm, together with four older sisters.

As age crept up on them all and after three of the sisters had already been promoted to Eternal life, Henry and sister Ann were obliged to sell the farm and move to Winkler. They resided at 163 South Railway for 6 ½ years.

Ill health and failing strength, made it impossible to carry on alone any longer. Henry was admitted at Salem Home in November 1998. There he passed away into Glory land on February 18, 2004, having reached the age of 90 years 11 months.

In May 1943 he was baptized upon confession of his faith that Jesus was his Redeemer, and was received as a member of the Old Colony Church.

He leaves to mourn two sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and seven sisters.

We, who are left, sorrow, not as those who have no hope, but fully believe, that through Grace and Mercy, he has gone into eternal Glory to be with his Maker forevermore.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all caregivers who provided such loving, gentle, kind care. Also to all those who visited and prayed for him and us during this time of bereavement. Thank you to his fellow church members and everyone who participated in this service. May the Lord reward you richly.
