Mr. Gerhard B. Fehr of
Winkler, formerly of Reinland, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday
July 2, 2003 at the age of 63 years.

Winkler, formerly of Reinland, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday
July 2, 2003 at the age of 63 years.
He was born in Mexico on February 27th, 1940. He was baptized in the Old Colony Church on June 9, 1957. On August 18, 1957, Dad married mom Sara Wolfe. In 1964 Dad and Mom moved to Canada and subsequently settled in Reinland, where they lived for 24 years. In 1996 they moved to Winkler.
Dad had many hobbies and interest, some of which were horse training in the early years, fishing, gardening, raising animals, and especially repairing motors.
Dad struggled for many years with his health and then on June 18, 2003 he was diagnosed with cancer.
Though Dad was very sick his love for his children and grandchildren was obvious to the end. Though in great discomfort he welcomed us with open arms. Greater still was his love and concern for his wife of many years. He requested a song that would comfort mom in this time of parting.
Dad was predeceased by his parents Johan and Marie (Nee Braun), three brothers and two sisters and survived by his four brothers and four sisters.
Left to mourn are his wife Sara (nee Wolfe) four sons; seven daughters and their families;
George and Mary Fehr, John and Barb Fehr, Abe Fehr, Peter and Cindy Fehr, Betty Unrau, Sadie and John Hiebert, Mari and Dan Bergen, Anna and Peter Friesen, Tina and John Klassen, Susie and Peter Wiebe, Eva and Randy Witman.
Funeral services were held on Sunday July 6th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitz Old Colony Church with Bishop Peter Elias and Reverend Herman Bueckert officiating. Interment followed at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery.
