Frank was born in the village of Osterwick to
Isaac and Anna Friesen on April 30, 1922. He was baptized upon confession of
his faith in the Old Colony Church in 1943. Frank transferred his church
membership to the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church on June 5 1994. On December 12,
1943 he was married to Agatha Heide. They began their married life farming west
of Osterwick; from here they moved to a farm in the Snowflake area where they
farmed till 1976 when they retired to Morden.
He was predeceased by his wife Agatha on December 31, 1999, his parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by 1 sister, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Heide family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews from the Friesen and Heide families.
after a lengthy time of illness, which he found quite frustrating at times, he passed away into the arms of his Saviour on June 8, 2002 at Salem Home in Winkler.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12,2002 at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church. Interment followed at the Hochfeld Cemetery.
