1926 - 2002
Peacefully, after a brief illness, Elsie passed away at Grace Hospital May 23, 2002 at the age of 75 yrs. Born Oct. 18, 1926 to Hank & Annie Lone of Mowbray, Elsie spent her formative years loving farm life, her team of horses and always her music.
Elsie left the farm to work at Canadian News till her retirement. She worked to live and lived to play music. Elsie had her own band, The Merrymakers, and traveled all over southern Manitoba playing for dances. She was always there to play for family sing-a-longs.
