2002, at the Tabor Home, Morden, Katharina Wieler Martens (nee Giesbrecht), age
96, formerly of Winkler, went to her eternal rest.
She was predeceased by husband John J. Wieler in 1969, husband John Martens in 1995, 2 sons Jake in 2002, John in infancy in 1926, 2 sons-in-law William Thiessen in 1990, Doug McDonald in 1991, 3 grandsons, 2 grand daughters, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
She leaves to mourn her passing, 4 daughters Katherine (William) Thiessen of Morden; Elizabeth and Jake Hildebrand of Jordan, ON; Susan (Doug) McDonald of Winnipeg; Mary and Pete Fehr of New Bothwell; 4 sons Henry Wieler of Libau; John and Marge Wieler of Winkler; Cornie and Millie Wieler of Bosano, AB; Isaac and Anne Wieler of East Selkirk; 1 sister; and their families.
Funeral service was held Friday, December 6, 2002, 2:00pm, at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Rev. C.C. Thiessen officiating. Interment followed at the Winkler Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Tabor Home Memorial Fund.
