Annie Reimer

1906 - 2003

On Tuesday January 21, 2003 at the Salem Home, Winkler Annie Reimer, age 97, went to her eternal rest.

Annie Reimer was born on August 29th, 1905 to Cornelius and Kathrina Reimer in the parental home in Kronsgart School District.

Except the for the time she spent as "hired help" to various families and almost two years at the Concordia Hospital, in the kitchen, Annie participated in helping with whatever work, was to be done, in the families home and on the farm.

Upon the confession that Jesus Christ had become her Saviour, she was baptized and became a member of the church, in May 1928.

In 1992, Annie and brother Henry gave up farming and moved to South Railway Avenue, in Winkler.

As health began to fail, and managing a household became impossible, she was admitted at the Morden Hospital in November 1998.  After three months there, she was transferred to the Salem Home.
She leaves to mourn two sisters Elizabeth and Justine and brother Henry and many nieces and nephews.

Annie was predeceased by her parents; 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Funeral service was held on Saturday January 25th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitz Old Colony Church with Bishop Peter Elias & Rev. Henry Rempel officiating. Interment took place at Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery.

We as siblings would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the doctors, chaplain, and nursing staff in both institutions for their gentle, loving care they provided.

Thank you, also, to anyone who took time to visit and pray for her and us who are left.

Henry, Elizabeth, and Justine.

Wiebe Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
