Suddenly, on
August 5, 2002, Alvin John Friesen, aged 51 years, of Winkler, MB, formerly of
Friedensruh, MB, passed away.
He leaves to mourn his wife Martha (nee Klassen) Friesen, 1 son Darrell of Winkler and 1 daughter Melanie of Winkler. He also leaves to mourn his mother Helena Friesen; 2 sisters; Cathy and George Braun; Eleanor; 4 brothers; Jerry and Wanda; Leonard and Martha; Rick; Brad and Tracey.
He was predeceased by his father Jacob J. Friesen in 1981.
Funeral service was held on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 2:00pm at the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church with Pastor Dale Dueck and Pastor John Driedger officiating. Interment followed at the Winkler Cemetery.
